It's nice to not worry about scabby knuckles during my work week. I have taken some good hits to hands while rolling and these gloves protect well. Impact still hurts but at least all my skin is intact. They grip the paddle well and aren't as bulky as I feared they would be. I am quite satisfied with them. NRS moved the wrist strap a little lower on the all black version and I think that was smart. Those with the yellow knuckle guards didn't fit me as well as they were too short for my palms. ALL BLACK seems to be the refined version and I love mine.

glove wears too easily
These are great paddling gloves as far as great protection. However, the material on my left glove that contacts the paddle shaft wore down after about 10 uses, a nice hole. I'm right dominant, so the paddle is moving more in my left. I sent my first pair back with comments to NRS, got a new pair, same thing happened. Got a new pair, and as long as they honor the warranty, I'll keep going. they need to reinforce that area of the glove.
