NRS Ricksack Dry Bag (XL)

Great Choice
We have been sampling different dry bags for this years trips, and have found the size and mesh to be perfect for our larger items. The translucency of the bag is also nice as we want to identify what is in the bag, without looking like a boatload of clutter. Will be purchasing more of this item.

Great dry bag
With dry bags you never really know until you've used them over time. That said, this bag looks great to me and has served me well taking gear through Class IV perfeclty dry. The long narrow shape is exactly right for certain large items like camp chairs, camp tables, etc. The shape packs and straps well to the rear deck of a cataraft. The only improvement I'd like to see is a strap on the bottom of the bag.

Good quality but...
Every NRS product I have purchased has never disappointed. I bought this dry bag for spare clothes, etc. Well, I noticed the XL bag wasn't much more $$ than the Large, so I bought the XL. While it is great quality, it is EXTRA long just like the item is described. This bag will work for sure but is longer than expected from the pic on Altrec website. I think they just use a stock photo of one of the smaller bags in this lineup. So anyway, I can barely reach my arm into the bottom of this thing. I'm not complaining here though. I should have made a more informed purchase. This is in no way a fault on NRS. It would have been nice if Altrec had a corresponding pic for the size I selected but whatever. It was very reasonably priced and the quality is good. This would be the perfect dry bag for tents or other long but narrow packages that you need to keep dry.
