The glasses are very nice overall, the tint is not too dark, and they come with a very nice hard case and a soft cleaning clotch/ bag. cant find a beter deal anywhere than altrec

I purchased the Oakley Encounter for my wife as a Christmas gift, I was too excited and had to give them to her early! The polished white frames and red tinted lenses make them look like a very high end pair. The red lens tint makes details pop, very crisp resolution. These glasses are comfortable and light. I typically have difficulty finding sunglasses that fit my small face but these are perfect. Both fashionable and suitable for sports. The lenses provide crystal clear vision. I highly recommend these glasses.

Dissappointing
I had tried these and the Forsakes on when I was shopping for new glasses. At the time, I opted for the Forsakes because of the larger eye and frameless field of vision. When the time came to get another pair of glasses, I went back to the Encounters, because I wanted something a little more streamlined. Sadly, these fit tighter on my head than the did the first time around. They were tight and pokey...completely different from the easy fit of the Forsakes I'd been experiencing. I sent these back and ultimately went for a completely different pair of glasses. In the end, I'll probably buy another pair of Forsakes because, out of the two, the Forsakes aren't so structured as the Encounters.
