Perfect medium capacity commuter pack.
After using a large Timbuk 2 messenger bag on and off for many years, it was time to get something else. Don't get me wrong, I really like messenger bags, but I think they contribute to back and neck problems. This bag is awesome! Typical Osprey quality. I am 5'9'', 180lbs, athletic build, and this bag fits extremely well. It easily holds a days worth of "stuff"; for me this usually consists of a three-ring binder or two, macbook, a few notebooks, a folder or two, a rain jacket, and a water bottle. That's it. Carries what I need and not much else. It's also highly water resistant. If I needed a larger bag I would look to the Metron 35. Overall, great bag, I would highly recommend to friends/ family.

Love it! My girlfriend uses this pack everyday. She is a small person and it fits very well on her frame.

Exactly what I needed
I was looking for a sturdy pack for work (laptop) and weekend pleasure and this pack fits the bill. The one thing I dont like about the other packs is all the things that hang off of them as they always get caught on bicycle racks, motorcycle luggage and are always flapping around. This pack has limited straps and such that cause problem. The waste band and chest straps can be removed. The laptop slot is huge, much larger than my 15.4 MAC (I think I may be able to fit is vertical and horizontal). Actually the pack is very wide and I thought this would be a problem but as I broke it in it slimmed down a bit. I had it in the rain the other day and everything stayed dry. I only wish it had one more small pocket for cell phone and keys. It has about 5 or so pockets....this is what I wanted (not alot of zippers and such) but I wish there was one more quick access small pocket. Shipping from Altrec was immediate and quick.

Exactly what I was looking for
It doesn't get any better than Osprey when it comes to backpacks. I'm a petite female who usually has trouble with the strap positioning on backpacks but Osprey gets it. Even though this bag is technically for guys the minimalistic design makes it usable and incredibly comfortable for me. This bag is not only comfortable but practical as well. It holds a ton of stuff along with my macbook pro and I don't have to worry about anything getting wet on my walk or bike ride to class/work. And of course, it looks a lot better than your typical backpack (North Face). Highly recommended!
