Love it!
I try to always have a hat because I burn so easily, and I love the Outdoor Research hats because I can order them big enough for my head. My favorite I have is the Oasis Sombrero, but I was after a smaller one for when a big hat wasn't appropriate. I ended up getting this one mainly because it was so cute, and I love it. It is dressier than the plain hats and looks really stylish. The brim is plenty wide and keeps its shape. I love how the brim slopes downward, which helps even more to keep the sun out of my eyes. The way it fits also allows more air to circulate at the top of my head, which is nice, and the sweatband is fabulous. The chin strap is fantastic; I no longer even consider hats without one. It does require some space to store (can't be crumpled up either), but I kept the plastic form it came on to store off-season. I really love this hat!
Looove this hat!!
I thought this hat was cute when I ordered it online and once I received it and tried it on all I can say is that I love it! It is very comfortable. It breathes well thanks to the weave fabric and gives you great sun coverage (ears, nose & cheeks protected). It is hands down my new favorite hat.
Great under hot sun
I recently purchased this hat for a backpacking trip in CO and Utah. I was extremely glad to have it while trekking through Canyonlands in June. The light-weight weaved fabric kept me cool and provided excellent ventilation, but also provided plenty of sun protection. There is a band around the inside of the hat to wick moisture away, which is also a plus. I plan to use this hat for my fieldwork in the Wyoming badlands later this summer. Oh--it's kind of cute, too!
