Lovely light hiking socks
Patagonia has proven it's design abilities once again. These are truly high quality socks, yes at a high price, but worth it. I have trouble fitting socks and also with toes numbing in right boot. So far, not a problem with these socks. They have special toe seams (flat). No itch merino is warm yet sock design vents heat. Very soft. These are my first choice for three season hiking and for 3 weeks on the JMT in August. Tho they are the ultra-light option, to me they seem quite cushy and are not "thin". Definitely worth a splurge to try one pair!
Recommend
I have worn these socks for several weeks hiking in Moab, Utah and they wear great, light, fit great and most confortable.
Great socks!
These are incredibly comfortable and soft. I am extremely sensitive to wool, but have no problems with these. They are the perfect weight for fall or spring.
Nice Find
Warmer than my Byford dress socks. Fit well with my Sebago boat shoes for cooler weather . My Smartwools were too thick to wear with the boat shoes. Nice find for the price.
Finally some thin hiking socks!
I have bunions and it's a trick to find hiking boots and socks that work well together and keep my feet comfortable. Thin socks help. I was extremely happy to find these Patagonia socks. Because they are not heavily padded, I had plenty of toe room. They fit well and seem to wear well, too. The lack of padding, however, means a little less overall comfort when hiking hard/rocky trails. All in all, though, these socks did what I needed them to do.
