Patagonia Women's Houdini Full Zip Jacket

Now you see it, now you don't. Just like the sun on blustery days, the ultralight, ultrapackable Patagonia Houdini Full Zip Jacket for women can shed fickle weather and then disappear when the skies clear -yet it's breathable enough to keep on as you crank through the next squall. The textured triple-ripstop nylon fabric proves surprisingly tough while the Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish wards off flurries six pitches from the deck. The redesigned hood is lower volume and snugs around the face and head three-dimensionally with a new, single-pull system. The Houdini Jacket has a drawcord hem and stuffs into its own out-of-the-way pocket, which now has a secure zipper closure and a burly strong carabiner clip-in loop.

  • Fabric: 1-oz 15-denier 100% nylon ripstop with Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Highly breathable, incredibly light textured soft shell fabric has a strong, triple ripstop pattern and a subtle, slightly transparent appearance; Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • DWR-coated center-front zipper
  • Zippered side pocket doubles as a stuff sack, with a reinforced carabiner clip loop
  • Redesigned hood for hood-opening and field-of-vision adjustment in one pull
  • Elastic cuffs, drawcord hem
  • May be worn over baselayers and light midlayers
  • Reflective HT logo
  • Ideal Uses: Lightweight Climbs, Trail and Road Running, Mountain Biking, Nordic Skiing, Fast Packing
  • Slim fit

Favorite running rain jacket
This is my favorite running rain jacket. Very lightweight. Breathable. Wind resistant and water repellant. Adjustable hood. I sized up so sleeve length covered my hands in the rain. Great jacket for layering. Easily ties around your waist if you heat up during a long run. Wish Patagonia would move the pocket to back. If I put too much into the side pocket, it rubs on my left arm. The pocket holds gus, gels, blocks, gloves, etc. Great bright colors. Highly recommend this jacket for rainy windy runs.

Raspberry Wind Jacket
Light weight and wind proof, bright color, has a hood and comfy. I plan to take this jacket everywhere. It fits into a purse nicely. The bright color allows you to be seen by cars if walking on the road.

great light weight jacket
Repels wind and rain, slim fit, which I prefer. Keep that in mind if planning to use over other clothing. Does not 'whistle' as many nylon wind toppers do as arms move. Vivid colors to choose from. Patagonia is a great company, stand behind their products 100%. Yes, you tend to pay more, but well worth the cost.

Great jacket for misty morning run
I went to running in the misty morning with Houdini. It's very comfortable and light. I enjoyed running with no stress. I love this jacket, so I always run with Houdini.

Great windblock
I really impressed with the material of the houdini that I bought one for my husband. It is so light and smooth, I layered an R1 jacket underneath and good to go in the low 40s and upper 30s with no problem. However it is not a rain jacket.
