Its durable, supremely efficient synthetic insulation (now 100-g PrimaLoft One) traps heat even when wet, and the DWR (durable water repellent) 100% all-recycled polyester shell (1.5-oz 32-denier; lining is 1.4-oz 22-denier) blocks wind and sheds snow. With quilted side panels, two invisible-zip handwarmer pockets and an interior zippered chest pocket that doubles as a stuff sack (with a carabiner clip-in loop). Drawcord hem.

Love the fit!
This down vest is lightweight and great fit. It's also quite warm considering how thin it is. It's warm enough to be worn alone and thin enough to layer under another jacket, if needed. I would highly recommend this vest to anyone.

patagonia vest
very comfortable and sleek. Fits under jacket or other layers without bulk. Some other reviews dissed the armholes and I guess its all in how you are built. The black from this year does ft differently than the blue (maybe an update?). The blue vest has slightly more shaped armholes so it lays a bit better across the chest. All in all a winner-would highly recommend.

Versatile vest!
I can use this vest for so many sports and all year long. I especially love that it is synthetic so I don't have to worry if I get stuck in the rain. I know I'll be warm. I'm a big vest fan and own many but this one is the warmest by far. Medium felt true to size. Great Patagonia quality.

A must have
A pure classic! Simple and sleek, warm yet lightweight. Perfect length. Allows for great arm movement without constriction. Can wear a thin long-sleeve shirt and/or a thick sweater as well. I'm 5'6 about 158 lbs and the large is perfect. I ordered an XL to accommodate a larger chest, however it was way to roomy. I like that the fabric is more muted rather than shiny. It's become my staple up here in Northern NY!
