Favorite piece of clothing overall
It's super light, and still keeps you warm in cool temperatures, but also breathes well. Easy to care for, easy to pack, easy to wear in all occasions. Very flattering fit. I wear it on my way to work, when I travel on airplanes, when I run outdoors, when I go home after the gym, when I stay home... And when I don't wear it, I have it in my bag. In all seasons, winter or summer. At 5'7" and 130 lbs, I wear a Medium--in different colors. It's well worth the price.

My go to jacket for layering.
When the weather turns cold and I want to layer with out being bulky I grab my R1 jacket. It gives me peace of mind that I'll be warm.Put a layer of capilene under the jacket and you can be assured that you'll be able to walk outside in any windy or fridged weather. Patagonia clothing is made well and lasts forever. I just love my R1 jacket, thanks Patagonia! I do have short arms and the sleeves tend to be long,so I just push them up.I have three of these jackets. You pay for what you get,Patagonia products are pricey.I try to stock up on a sale.I'am only 5ft tall and weight about 115 pounds and I wear a medium, the jacket does runs a little small,

love this jacket!
I love the R1 full-zip jacket. It is a great jacket for chilly days or to layer under heavier coats or fleeces. The fit is true to size. I am 5'6" 130 lbs and the small fit perfectly. I would highly recommend this jacket. I just bought one for my husband for Christmas because he was always complementing me when I wore mine!

Good For...
This jacket is good for days where it's chilly (40-50 degrees) but not windy. If it's windy, I put a wind/rain coat on over top and it's really quite warm. I'm 5'10 and 145 pounds and this jacket fits over a long sleeve shirt/sweater but not bulky. I can wear it walking from my car to school and it's super packable. I have the light blue color and I love it.

I like this jacket but did find that the medium is on the large side to be worn as a first layer.
