Excellent heavy duty socks!
These socks are fabulous. They are extremely soft and cushioned in all the right places, warm and the merino wool feels great against your skin. I tried them yesterday on a long hike in snow for the first time and they did an excellent job of wicking the moisture away. I had on ulitmax sock liners under the socks and double plastic climbing boots. The height of the socks works well - they come to just above the calf and were comfortably snug - no slippage. I wear a women's 5 or 5.5 street shoe and the small fit really well. Usually, I have a hard time finding socks that are small enough for my foot but these were great. Yes, they're a bit pricey but well worth the investment. If you're looking for a heavy duty, cold weather sock - these are the ones!
