Patagonia Men's Triolet Jacket
Serious alpine pursuits demand a quality lightweight storm shell like the Patagonia Triolet Jacket for men. The Triolets uses trusted three-layer Gore-Tex Performance Shell for waterproof and breathable performance worthy of epic ski tours, powder days at the resort and the purest of alpine climbs. Patagonia takes the no-nonsense approach here and delivers functional features with lightweight, durable materials. Key areas are reinforced for durability, but still feature Gore-Tex. Pockets are pack and harness friendly, so you can reach needed storage even while pushing the limits in the field. Pit zips deliver added venting when the going gets steamy, and the hood is one of the most adjustable storm lids youll find. Of course, its helmet compatible, too. Great Jacket
I have a few Patagonia jackets and this is currently my favorite. Patagonia makes great color - I can barely see the light blue or green color from other jackets but only from Patagonia. The size is perfectly between slim & baggy. Now Patagonia is back to using Gore-tex, performance shell is enough for me; as for me I don't think expensive pro-shell is necessary. And I like the side hands warming pockets which are good for all-around use (The alpine jackets like Super Alpine and Arc'teryx Alpha SV don't have). But for a Gore-tex performance shell jacket I still think it's too expensive.
Nice jacket
Great materials and weight. I hate an attached hood for skiing-(haven't skied with it yet). There is no way to detach the hood or strap it down out of the way. I thought about returning it for that reason, but everything else about the jacket is great.
Poor Fit
I've been buying and wearing Patagonia clothing for 22 years and I'm usually very pleased. The problem with this jacket is the sleeves are about 3 to 4 inches too long, even with arms outstretched, Patagonia sleeve length is usually longer but these are crazy long. I understand they made them longer so they don't ride up while stretching overhead or reaching, but with the gusseted underarm panels the sleeves didn't need to be lengthened as much. Also, the upper arm is very narrow, I keep in shape but I don't have super big biceps and it was pretty restrictive. The jacket is well constructed but the fit is just poor.
