Very comgortable and well made. I have become a Pearl Izumi fan and now own 3 pairs of different styles. These in particular are light weight and perferct with a thin sock on no sock at all in the warmer weather. They feel like you are wearing almost nothing, yet give you the support and comfort you need,

Men's Peak XC Running Shoe
The Men's Peak XC Running Shoe provides an excellent all around running shoe. Taking to the fall streets in Michigan, the shoes felt like old friends from the first block. They provide good all-over support and just the right cushioning over a mix of running surfaces on our questionably maintained roads. A Pearl Izumi fan smartly suggested I order a half size up--great tip. The additional half size made it a perfect fit.

Good Lightweight Trail Runner
I was looking for a lightweight and minimalistic trail runner and that is exactly what these are. At 9.0 oz , these are very light for trail running, therefore some features are not there or expected. These do not have thick soles to absorb every bump. They are close to the ground, a minimalistic version of trail running shoes. The fit is good, not too tight or too loose and fits pretty true to form. I am a size 9 normally and the 9 worked perfect. I use these mainly on fire roads and some single-track/double-track trails. They have been great for support and also held up well. I also run some in Vibram Five Fingers and Inov8's so I like the minimalistic shoes. I have used these fro about 150 miles now and runs up to 20 miles with no issues. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Light Shoes, but Not a Snug Fit
The shoes are ok, but a bit lose fitting might give some second thoughts on their utility as a workhorse shoe for hardcore training. Great walking shoe, however.

lightweight soft shoe
good for the summarized characteristics but it is to soft hold up and endure hard trail running.
