Best shorts ever!!!!
Love, love, love these shorts. I have them in three colors and two different sizes and I just keep buying more. They have tons of stretch and work for everything. I'm 5'10" and 145lbs and I can wear the large or the medium depending on use, and I have the same fabric in the knicker in a small (so this is a very forgiving fabric). These shorts are short-ish for grown-ups and yet I still love them despite my over-40 status. The fabric is super lightweight, dries unbelievably fast even in humid regions so they make great travel shorts. You can use them as board shorts, hiking shorts, even running shorts in a pinch. The only downside is the pocket is absolutely useless (small and weirdly located). Don't buy them if you need a pocket but buy them for every other use, especially travel. I agree with a prior review that the tan color is a little on the see-through side, but only enough to cause you to make sure you aren't wearing brightly colored underwear. Also, I recommend the knickers and the capris in this fabric, they are also fantastic products. You can drag this fabric over rocks, through rivers and to the beach - wash it in the sink and wear it again tomorrow.

Lightweight and comfortable
Love the material, it keeps my cool even on the hottest days. Like my Bliss Knicker the shorts are so comfortable and lightweight, very versatile too. Great fit but they run large.

Women's Bliss shorts
Great color, durable good quality fabric and great shape. Fits well with first try on but to sit in chair, fabric stretches a bit too easily and then medium size becomes too loose. Will need to return for small size if color still available.

cute and comfy and the right length
What I got these shorts for: An 11-day thru-hike of the Wonderland Trail Pros: *Flat waistband (wears comfortably under a pack's hipbelt) *perfect length - they're a short-short, but not TOO short (they look a bit shorter on me than on the model) that chaffing becomes a concern *simple style - no cargo pockets or other mess that adds bulk where you don't want it *nice rise - sits just below the belly button (not mom-jean high but not stripper low *very durable *dries quickly Cons: *Zero adjustibility in the waist - so AT FIRST I really liked these shorts because they fit like jeans - no drawstring or elastic waistband (I mean really, what has EVER looked good with an elastic waistband?), and I liked the fact that there were no belt loops, as the short rode really nicely under my pack. BUT, on a multi-day hike, this lack of adjustibility became an issue. As soon as I worked up a sweat, the shorts stretched out just enough that they were soon falling down (and that was day 2..by day 11 I had also gotten just a tiny bit skinner which didn't help anything). They fit perfectly BEFORE doing anything. Thus, I would recommend that either you buy them on the small side if you're planning on being super active in them, or else they're a really good around-the-city short. Maybe I'll try wearing them rock climbing. *There is a small pocket on the side of 1 leg. Now, I like that the shorts are super simple without cargo, back, or side pockets (though side pockets, when cut flatteringly, can be nice). But if you're going to put a pocket on a pant, then make it useful. The TINY low pocket on the leg is completely useless. Not only is it small, but there's no closure at all (so it's not like you can throw even tiny things in there) and I would be worried about putting anything in there as it seems to have a good chance of falling out. Otherwise, I love the shorts. Like the new colors for this year - I might get a smaller size in the yellow color. I'm 5'5" and 140lbs and bought the medium, which fit perfectly until I started hiking in them, so I might try a small.

Not for me
These seem to be great quality shorts, but they run different than what I expected. I like the material, but according to the size chart, I'm between a med and a small. I ordered a small, but they were huge on me. I'm 5'7" and 130 lbs, maybe an xs would work, but I don't think I've ever had to buy an xs in any bottoms before.I usually fit between a 4-6 in Prana shorts, and I LOVE Prana clothing!
