Comfortable Helmet
My head size is between a medium and large for most helmet brands. I purchased this RED Prime helmet because of its adjustments and it is a perfect fit with the air pump system. There's a little 'pump' button that fills a band inside the helmet to form-fit to your head. A one touch 'release' button lets the air out. I purchased some cheap (non-RED) slim headphones and they fit in the ear covers, so I was able to rock the tunes. I also bought a pair of Anon goggles and they work well eliminating any gap with the helmet. There is an included goggle gasket, which should make any brand goggle fit well. Overall an awesome helmet for those who want a custom fit.

A soft measuring tape is an excellent tool to determine the correct circumference of the user's head in centimeters and get a rough idea of what helmet size will fit them best. If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Do not use a metal tape as it will not give an accurate measurement.

1.) Have the user stand facing you while looking straight ahead. (Tip: when fitting small children it is helpful to kneel in front of them so you are at eye level.)

2.) Using both hands, hold the measuring tape at each end with the marks facing away from you.

3.) Place the fit tape behind the user's head just above the ears.

4.) Wrap the side in your right hand around to the front of their forehead so the end of the tape is centered between (and just above) the eyebrows.

5.) Wrap the side in your left hand around (just above the ears and brow) to overlap the end of the tape with a snug fit. Read the measurement at the end of the tape to determine circumference measurement.

6.) Remove measuring tape and record the measurement. This number can be used to narrow the helmet size selection using the helmet-sizing chart above.
