This coat is awesome. I purchased two, one for each of my dogs. I originally got the S for my Border Collie mix, and a L for my Boxer, as those are the sizes they have for the rain coat and swamp coolers. The S fit my BC perfectly, but the L was inexplicably large on my Boxer. We exchanged it for a M (super quick, painless exchange), and the M is a great fit! So... take note of sizing, and perhaps size down if you're on the fence. As for performance... the dogs love their coats. Perfect for a cold day, or even when there's light drizzle (but not enough to warrant the rain coat), and they can move freely in the coat. This coat has been a big hit on our walks - not only are the pups nice and warm, but they get compliments and attention left and right. Oh, and I love that the coat's outer shell doesn't catch on anything... and the fleece that is so prone to showing dog hair and lint and whatnot, is on the inside... dogs are comfy, and they look stylish. Win-win!

I have a Brittany Spaniel and it's sometimes a challenge to fit him - I have a number of Ruff Wear items and he's a small in some items and a medium in others. This coat gives the adjustability I need for a dog built like him - broad chest and very small waist. The quality seems top notch like all Ruff Wear things I own and I like the soft fleece liner. Haven't used in incliement weather yet, but I know he's staying warm at a winter campsite and on the trail during a cold hike.

I have a newfie and this is perfect for him. Just a little extra warmth and it keeps the snow from balling up on his tummy while out cross country skiing with me :)
