Wanted to like them; almost did
This shoe has features I really like - innovative lacing system, great room in the toe box yet narrow and supportive in the heel and arch, good cushion and stability on rough terrain. The deal breaker was the piece of fabric that wrapped around the ankle from the back. The edge of that piece and its stitching rubbed my right anklebone and no amount of tightening or loosening the laces helped the situation. The fact that this only affected my right ankle and not the left may mean there was an inconsistency in the shoe's construction or my ankles are just weird. Regardless, I liked the overall design enough that I am going to try the low version of this shoe.
