comfort
very few times you find a product that it is comfortable right out of the box well I found these to be right on the money the feel is good and the support is great
Zen is a shoe, not just a state of being.
The Zen is a well balanced technical approach shoe, this class of shoe is best explained as a running sneaker/hiking boot hybrid, that being said, the Zen is a good example of the genre. Some features of note are; excellent sticky rubber (net none marking) soles, a unique tread pattern that seems to be at home on wet smooth concrete as it is on loose gravel, handy. The standard insole is great, its perforated with holes and faced with mesh, heat and vapor has a place to radiate into. the substantial mid soles encase and armor the toes and heel well, this feature being the main reason why I love approach shoes. Crucially, the balance between the height of the sole and the height of the uppers is just right - no easy ankle rolling which can occur when soles are stiffened up to this level. They scream quality/value on every level.
