Bought these for my husband who has a problem with cold feet. He loves them. Ha has a pair of Northface brand that are similar but he says these are easier to get on, are just as warm and the sole slips less than the Northface. He likes the sole so he can go out in the garage without worrying about wearing them out. Good product.

Great product for hanging out.
There are several reasons I like this product. First, they are warm. With 700 down fill, these booties provide a lot of warmth and comfort, whether I am just hanging out at my cabin or if I am doing some ice climbing on extended trips. They are great to slip on at the end of a long cold day and chill out in my tent or by the fire. The waterproofing provides a more universal product, because you do not have to be afraid to wear then in the snow or in a little bit of slush. The rigid EVA sole provides foot protection when walking around in dimly lit areas with jagged rock. That is important during a 2 am call of nature. The cordlock zip pulls are great for securing your feet in place. The only negative attributes in my perspective are the sizing does tend to run a half size smaller than as listed. I wear a 10.5 and feel that these size Large could be 1/2 size larger. The only other option though is size 11-13 which I would be swimming in.

My Fireside down booties arrived in a timely manner and are everything they were claimed to be. They keep my feet toasty warm in the house and the occasional trip out to the garage or while shoveling snow off the sidewalk my socks remained dry. I greatly appreciated reading other's reviews and ordered mine 1 size larger. I am a 9 which should be a medium but the large fits nicely with just a little extra room. They slip on easily and the drawstrings keep them snug. I've had them for about 2 weeks now and I put them on every evening and I can't believe I went so long without having them. They are great! Thankyou Altrec!

SD Fireside Booties
I purchased these for a ski camping trip to use at the end of the day in camp. They were very warm and kept my feet dry in powder snow/low moisture conditions. I wore my gaiters with them as they only come up a couple of inches above my ankle. Worked out good as the weight is less than a pound and they did what was needed. Would recommend to others requiring the same type of boot. Would work out great as a hut trip boot too.

They fit a little small, but for me (size 9) the medium fits perfect. Any bigger than a 9 and I would need a large. I'd say they may fit a half size smaller than the sizing chart says. I really like the eva sole because I wore out a pair of the regular down booties that didn't have the sole. I think these will last much longer. My wife says they look like moon boots, but I love them and my feet never get cold with these on. They are expensive and I doubt I would have bought them myself, but since my wife and daughter bought them, I couldn't go wrong.
