This is the first boot of this type I have had and they are great. Very light and confortable. I have purchased other Sorel products and have found them all to be of the highest quality and exceeded my expectations. I have not tested this boot in the extreme cold yet but I am sure it will perform well. The boots look good and can be worn indoors also with out making you feet perspire. I am also very impressed with the Altrec company because you can order with confidence knowing they stand behing everything they sell for life. I try to order everything I can from a company like this as long as they carry the product I am seeking.

One amazing boot
This is my second pair of these amazing Sorel boots. I have wore them in blizzards and ice storms and they have always kept my feet warm and dry. They are comfortable, fit true to size, are extremely lightweight and are well insulated. The soles have good traction and they don't have that flat foot feel like most winter boots. They are rated for minus 40 degrees, but I feel that is too low. I would rate them at 10 below, if you are walking or working and not standing still for too long. When it gets that cold, I have a pair of Baffin boots to wear. But when winter hits, 95% of the time, I wear these Timberwolf boots.
