That's because Spyder designed the Charge with a thoughtful combination of durable stretch twill fabric and easy-moving Lycra panels, so the jacket moves with you while keeping you protected in snow, rain or sleet. The Charge Jacket offers a stretchy powder skirt and a zip-off hood that's excellent for women skiers who usually use a helmet on the slopes but want a hood for aprs-ski around the village. The outer material is a stretchy twill weave fabric backed by a waterproof and breathable XT.L 10,000-mm. membrane. If you wear a helmet or accessorize with a Spyder hat, you can detach the fully adjustable hood and place it in the dedicated pocket for easy storage. We like the zippered vents (with waterproof zippers) beneath the sleeves and an internal mesh goggle pocket. Other nice touches include a data card pocket--especially if you don't like walking around with a lift pass on a lanyard around your neck. Warm and light!
This jacket is very light weight, I was surprised when I picked it up, but it is very warm nonetheless. Its got all the neat little pockets and is a very quality made jacket. I would highly recommend the Spyder brand to anyone is looking for a good winter or ski jacket!

Great Jacket
I got this for skiing which it's wonderful. I also like the hood which can go over your helmet -- keeps me very warm in the coldest conditions. It has all the goodies you could ask for with plenty of zippered pockets and the pit zips too.
