Outstanding Jacket
Overall, this is the best winter coat I have ever purchased. It is very lightweight, comfortable, and warm. The size I purchased is an XL, and it fits perfect (I'm 6'2", 230#, athletic build). I like the hood and how it folds up and down, and it holds its shape so my hair doesn't get messed up too much. My biggest complaint is that the zipper doesn't move up and down freely all the time. It has a tendency to get slow/stuck sometimes, especially at the bend by the neckline. You just have to straighten the zipper before moving it through the bend. I really like this coat!

Great Jacket
I live in Chicago where the winter is cold, windy and full of snow and rain. This Jacket is great. Warm but really light. So light you won't believe it will keep you warm....but it does. Very warm with just a t-shirt on. Great Coat. You won't regret it.

This coat is warmer than it looks/feels. No one would believe the lightest coat would provide this warmth.

very comfortable jacket. and warm so far this winter. haven't used it in wet weather yet, but it seems like it would be good. the jacket is really lightweight and moves well. really comfortable. the materials don't seem very durable, but its a great jacket for around town.

I am very happy with my recent purchase of a ski jacket (Plasma Thermal - black) made by The North Face. I bought the jacket because of the fluctuating weather and I'm glad I did. Already I've gotten a lot of use out of this jacket in varied weather conditions. For a jacket that weighs so little, and is not bulky by any means, it is extremely warm. In fact, if you typically give off a lot of body heat make sure to wear this jacket only in cold weather because it retains heat very well. All in all the jacket is great and the ordering/purchasing process was absolutely seamless. This was my first time shopping at altrec.com and I will definitely shop here again - especially considering that I was particularly impressed with their wide selection.
