The North Face Women's Brooklyn Jacket

Perfect for New England winter
This coat is just what I needed to get through these long cold winters here in New England. I bought a small b/c that's what I normally wear- it is a little on the snug side but in a good way, I don't feel like I'm swimming in it, so I did not size up. It is so warm, I actually look forward to going outside. I feel like I"m wearing a comforter! I also like its versatility- it great for going outside and playing in the snow, but its fashionable enough to wear when you're dressed up. I love the belt- makes it look so feminine. Its a bit pricey, but I think I'll be holding on to this one for a while. So bring on the cold, I"m ready!

Great Winter Coat
After reading others reviews, I decided to make this purchase and I am Happy I did! Item was out of stock but Altrec emailed when available. I am not tiny these days, and even the XL gets compliments, very slimming. Fit is great, easy to drive in, and very warm. Hood stays in place when up!

Great jacket!
In my search for the perfect down winter coat, I think I've finally found it! I originally ordered the Greenland jacket, which a friend recommended, but I felt it was too short. I found this jacket, which is basically the same thing, but longer - it comes down to about mid-thigh. I know I'll appreciate the longer coat walking around Philadelphia in the winter. It's warm and cozy, and I LOVE the shape - it's not puffy like other jackets (I tried on the Artic parka in the NF store, and it looked like a bag on me!). It has a belt at the waist that tightens to give the coat some shape. It looks great on!! And I got the graphite gray color so it would match everything. I also love the pocket on the inside, the cord to tighten the hood with, the zip-off fur on the hood, and the best feature - the fleece lining in the sleeves that keeps the wind from getting up my sleeves! As far as size, I'm 5'3 and 100 pounds, and the XS fits perfectly. Overall, a great jacket I would highly recommend!

Nice Coat
Hello, My husband brought me this coat for Christmas its very warm but I agree with Julie it makes you look 40lbs heavier and I don't need that so I had to send it back..I got a XL its so big I'm thinking I should get a M...

Great warm jacket, but very unflattering
I loved the style and color of this jacket. It had everything I was looking for....warmth, length and it was grey. I was so disappointed when I put it on and saw that I looked 40 lbs heavier. I am 5'4" and 125 lbs and a bit busty. I thought the belt would be good, but it was a disaster. Unfortunately I had to send it back as I knew I would never wear it.
