Great Pant for Everyday use and then some...
I LOVE these pants! So far they've gotten me through a long weekend of backcountry backpacking, a weekend at the lake and a weekend doing major landscaping...and they still fit and look like new. The roll-up/button feature to make the pants more of a crop is nice but zip-off short feature would've been more practical. However, the pant material is light enough to where over-heating hasn't been a problem. Overall, fabulous utility pant for an active lifestyle.
Nearly classy
Working for an environmental consulting firm, I love these pants. They shed dirt, burrs and water in the field, but have clean, tailored lines that are nearly classy in the office. I don't plan on using them as capris except for the occasional creek crossing; the fabric is dense and somewhat stiff, so I think the cuff would be too bulky. The little bit of stretch provides some give, but don't expect to do any rock climbing in these. I could wish they had an articulated knee and slash front pockets, to give a little more freedom of movement, but I'd sacrifice these ideals any day for a pair of affordable, figure-flattering, hard-wearing technical pants.
Best Pants Ever!
If you are an avid outdoor type, these are the pants for you. They are lightweight yet rugged. I love the fact that the legs can be rolled up without any bunching. I will buy these pants in every color available!
Nice but small
I got these pants and was very happy with their appearance. But when I tried them on they were very tight. I usually wear a 6 in North Face pants, I'm 5'6 125-130 lbs, but these were tighter than normal. I don't like my pants skin tight, which they were, so I'm going to order a size up. These pants aren't strechy, but I don't think that they are completely stiff either. I was very happy with how these pants looked, I got the green color, and I'm excited to get them in a size 8.
nice, but heavy
I bought these for field research trips to Brazil, mostly because they are said to dry fast, but they seem to be made of a really heavy material. Would be great I think for temperate climates, but I can imagine they'll be really hot in Brazil. Havent had a chance to test them out yet, but I am 5' 6.5" and about 135lbs, and a size 6 fits me nicely, without being unattractive or baggy in weird places. Overall seem to be high quality too.
