I just recieved the boots they are VERY well made, I love the look of the leather and over all feel great. I did buy the boot in my normal shoe size and now have to return them for a half size smaller (that was with the thickest hiking sock I have). So I will look forward to having them in the size I will need.

Great Boots --Worth the money
I did not want to spend this much money on footwear but I am so glad I bit the bullet. These boots are so comfortable, right out of the box. I wore them on a couple mile hike right after I got them and my feet felt great! I have also tested the waterproofness by standing in a river, my feet were dry! I have average feet and I believe the boots fit true to size.

I'm not a 'big' hiker, but I love to walk my dog on paths/trails. I need ankle support and arch support. When these are on, my foot feels wrapped in comfort! My feet are cushioned and the arch support is perfect for me. Thanks Altrec -- love 'em!! :)

Good boots, but unique fit.
Awesome boots. Comfortable, supportive, and grippy. But unless you have narrow, low volume feet, they won't work for you. Also, they have a ridge at the inside edge of the heel that can bother some feet - like mine. A superfeet insole with a hard plastic bed can help, but consumes a lot of precious limited volume. Not for wider feet with a higher instep.
